Vodafone Flying Fijians fullback Kini Murimurivalu is looking forward to a great clash against Italy today at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

The 28-year-old who currently plays for Top 14 club La Rochelle was part of the Fijian team that played at the 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cups.

“Preparations are going on well and I’m looking forward to my first test match match against Italy,” the star fullback said.

“I feel excited to be part of the final squad and it is also a great opportunity for me to play against Italy.

“Also, we’ve some good backline players like Jale Vatubua and Eroni Vasiteri so we are confident our backs will do well.”

IT’S GOING TO BE TOUGH:  RAVAI

Vodafone Flying Fijians tighthead prop Peni Ravai expects a tough battle against Italy today.

“Our training is coming really good the boys had been working hard on and off the field so we are ready for them,” the former Vodafone Fijian 7s rep said.

“I feel the Italians will bring us a tough game in the scrum and they are well-known for their fast forward plays and I know they will play in the forwards.

“We need to strengthen our defence and communication is another factor which is important in this game.

“I’m looking forward to play against the Italians because I am proud to be representing my home country.”

Ravai has urged fans to come out in numbers and support them in this important Test match.
