Nadi Aviators anticipate an exciting final round of rugby league competition at the AFL grounds, Nadi today.

NA president Joe Gray yesterday acknowledged sponsors who contributed towards the prize money. The participating teams include Sabeto Roosters, West Fiji Dolphins, West Coast Storm, Sabeto Roosters, Ravoravo Rabbitohs and Nadi Eels.

The sponsors contributed $8000 and the winner receive $1000 while the runners-up pocket $500.

“We’re fortunate that we have Go Locals and Tour Tranfers to partner with us in having to organise the grand final for our weekly club matches which takes place tomorrow,” Gray said.

“They’ve actually sponsored the key prizes for the categories and apart from that we’re also very fortunate that this is a milestone achievement to partner with the Bula Festival Trust. This is to create the hype and also raise awareness on the coming Bula Festival. That is where we’ve joined forces with the Bula Trust and the committee and this is actually to build-up the momentum,” Gray said.

Petero Civoniceva’s West Fiji Dolphins will take on the West Coast Storm in the final of the Under-16 grade at 10am.

Sabeto Roosters meet West Coast Storm in the U18 final at 11am, Roosters will then take on Ravoravo Rabbitohs in the Senior Reserve final at 12.15pm and in the main Cup final Ravoravo Rabbitohs will meet the Nadi Eels at 2pm.

“The fixtures are being fair and it also reflects the standard and how the bar has been lifted in the game in Nadi. It’s exciting and now becoming unpredictable,” Gray added.

He also acknowledged the support of the Fiji National Rugby League.

“The FNRL has been very supportive.  Two executives from FNRL will also be present and this is a great opportunity for the boys to showcase their skills,” he added.
