Customer demand has paved way for the Bank of Baroda to add their 17th automated teller machine (ATM) nationwide.

Mid-West Group of Companies managing director Shiv Ram officiated at the inauguration of the new ATM installed at MH Supermarket in Namaka yesterday.

He said “it is so important for Bank of Baroda to have their ATM machine in Namaka for the clients who previously all have to go to Nadi town, with the current situation of traffic flow and no parking.”

“This has now made it so convenient especially for the farmers who live mostly in Votualevu, Sabeto and Nasau areas.”

Mr Ram, 65 who is the second generation of his family to bank with Bank of Baroda over 15 years.

Bank of Baroda Chief Executive Officer (Fiji Operations) Govindsing B Rajput said, the installation of this ATM was much awaited since they have a large number of people from the area that bank with them.

“We have 17 Baroda ATMs Fiji wide and we are also contracted with Bank South Pacific gateway to access any of the BSP ATM and eftpos machines,” he said.

“There is growth and we need to take services to the customer doorstep as this year alone we installed a total of five ATM nationwide. We are also thankful to MH and Carpenters Group for giving us space to install out atm.

“There are six ATM withdrawals per month free from Baroda ATM and thereafter $0.25 per transaction but with our BSP atm their normal charges will apply,” Mr Rajput added.
