People of the West can now enjoy a new range of pastries at a newly opened outlet in TappooCity Lautoka.

Patisserie Pacifica opened yesterday.

Patisserie Pacifica, a dessert shop, is owned and operated by the Grace Road Group.

Tappoo Group of Companies executive director Mahendra Tappoo said: “We are thrilled that the Grace Road Group choose to grow at our Tappoo locations, especially because of the value they place on quality of service and in the unique products that they offer.

“Their food outlets are of very high international standards and keeping with the high standard of our shopping malls

“We are very proud of this five star shopping mall that we have created for the people of Lautoka and the Western Division.”

Mr Tappoo said they are happy with the positive response from customers.

This is the Western Division’s first shopping mall.

It houses state of the art cinemas, an international food court with a variety of cuisines on offer, department stores, supermarkets, speciality stores, hair and beauty salon, pharmacy and children’s play centre.

“It is a complete shopping, food, fun, and entertainment destination for locals and tourists alike. This is what TappooCity is all about,” he said.

Grace Road Group president Daniel Kim said: “Patisserie Pacifica as a dessert café is determined to give Fiji’s wider public the taste of premier pastries.

“As South Korean-Fijians, we realise that Fijians are deserving of a bigger variety of foods. Our cakes and pastries are very unique and are created with the people of Fiji in mind,” he said.

Mr Kim said the total estimated cost of setting up the dessert shop was close to $500,000.
