It will be a tough week for Labasa as they play two Vodafone Premier League matches at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori this weekend.

First, the Babasiga Lions face Suva on Friday night before taking on Rewa on Sunday. With only three days to prepare, Labasa Football Association vice- president Varun Anand said it would be a challenge for the players to recover and play another two games.

“We arrived in Labasa on Sunday and have only three days to prepare before we go back to Nausori for our games,” Anand said.

“The Fiji FACT was really tiring and the boys are trying to relax and recover. Playing in the Fiji FACT was the first time for most of our players. Fatigue is the biggest concern for us, of course the players will be tired from playing over the weekend and travelling and then travelling again to playing two more games.

“We also have a few injury worries so this is really a busy week for us but we’re going to try our best.”

Playing Rewa on their home ground will be a repeat of the Fiji FACT semifinal.

Anand said it was disappointing to lose to Rewa so they are looking for a win this time around.

“We know how good of a team Rewa is, they played well and I want to take this opportunity to apologise to the fans for not winning that game,” he said.

“Of course playing them again will bring back those memories, which is why we want to go out there and win for our fans. But we will be trying our best to win that is all we can do.”
