Fiji Airways has leapt  16 places  to 75th position in this years SKYTRAX World Airline Awards.

This is compared to last year’s 91st position.

The improved position comes after a big push to up service delivery through out the business.

The World Airline Awards are often described as “the Oscars of the aviation industry”.

Fiji Airways Managing Director/CEO, Andre Viljoen said: “I’m also pleased to inform that our team has been hard at work since January, improving every aspect of our operations. From our onboard products, to service, customer care, on-time performance and many others.

“This is part of our wider service culture transformation through the UP! Your Service Education Programme.

“And we are well on the way towards achieving a 4-Star SKYTRAX airline rating, gaining recognition and accolades step by step.”

Mr Viljoen said a few weeks ago they won Australasia’s Leading Inflight Magazine at the World Travel Awards.

“Our latest is a big jump on the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards, which ranks the world’s top 100 airlines as voted by airline customers. I’m happy to note that we have jumped 16 places to 75th position, compared to 91 in 2016.

“So we are definitely moving the needle in the right direction with our service offering to our customers.”

Mr Viljoen added they would keep getting better continuously and relentlessly pursue their goal to be the most desired, most flown and most profitable airline in the South Pacific.
