Coach Richard Lal said they would review their first game and come back stronger in their second game against Sabeto, which is set for  today.

Defending champions Nasinu Sanatan made a winning start in the Vodafone 58th Sanatan Convention Inter-District Championship at Korovuto College ground in Nadi yesterday.

Midfielder Para Mishra scored their lone goal when they beat Uluisila 1-0 in their pool opener. The side has the services of Kaushal Kumar, Shalvesh Singh, Alvis Ram, and Jalinder Singh.

Coach Richard Lal told SUNsports the side took their opponents lightly resulting in the low score.

Lal said they would review their first game and come back stronger in their second game against Sabeto, which is set for today.

Navua with the services of district reps in the likes of Pranil Chand, Rajnesh Raju, Monit Chand and Rajneel Chand also made a winning start to their campaign. They easily beat Suva 2-0.

Navua president Vijay Prasad said his players played to their potential and was pleased with the result.

“It is a good start for us beating Suva. We now look forward to our second game against Manukau tomorrow,” he said,
