Nasio Domoni Set to Rock the Stage

Expect great music from the Fiji Performing Rights Association Music Award winning band, Nasio Domoni in two weeks.

They are amongst 12 artists and bands that will be part of the inaugural Thurston Food and Music Festival this month.

Band leader, Nasio Domoni said this is the first time they are performing in an event so it will be exciting as great artists such as Knox and Inside Out will be there.

The band was formed in 2005 from a regular sigidrigi sessions around the kava bowl on the weekends.

“We started singing covers of popular Fijian songs from Drodrolagi kei Nautosolo, Jale Mareau, Jim Gucake, Senibuasala to Voqa ni Delai Dokidoki and even a few English numbers,

Some of their popular songs they have sung is “Na Veikilai Lekaleka Mosimosi”in 2016 and this year the song “Senikakala”

The four members of the Nasio Domoni are: Tuverea Tuamoto, Jofiliti Sucuvou- Nasovivi,  Seru Tawake, and Sailosi Waqawaqa.

The Thurston Food and Music Festival will be held on July 15 (Saturday) at Thurston Garden, Suva. About 1500 people are expected at the festival and the first major event by Knox Entertainment.

Tickets are on sale at the ROC Café, Ginger Kitchen at the Fiji Museum, and Fiji Broadcasting Corporation. Admission is free for children under 12 years.
