Secondary school students were impressed by University of Fiji’s open day that they have decided to enrol at the institution next year.

A Year 13 student of Sigatoka Andhra Sangam College, Vuni Kurewaka, said: “The University of Fiji’s open day is an eye opener for me.

“I am going to join University of Fiji next year because this institute has all the facilities like other two universities and the fees are reasonable,” he said.

Tilak High School Year 12 student Veniana Qio said: “This is the first time for me to come to an open day and I am enjoying University of Fiji’s open day.

“I have got to learn new things at this open day.

“I want to become a nurse and I think University of Fiji’s Umanand Prasad School of Medicine would be best place for me to study nursing,” she said.

Ba Provincial College Year 13 student Dolly Kareena said: “I am so lucky to be part of University of Fiji’s open day.

“I have so much information on what I want to become,” she said.

Another Year 13 student of Ba Provincial College Etika Vunaki said: “This institute is interesting in terms of the courses they offer compared to the other universities in Fiji.

“The environment is good for learning and the fees are reasonable. I look forward to come and study at University of Fiji,” he said.

Year 12 student of Lautoka Andhra College Turisi Uluiviti said: “I will join University of Fiji next year.

“This is a small yet one of the fast developing universities in Fiji,” she said.

Ba Sanatan College Year 13 student Neel Chetty said: “University of Fiji offers many coursers which allows the students to choose what they want to study at this university.

“The displays at the University of Fiji’s open day are really great.

“I am a science student and the science display was really educational,” he said.

Sangam Sadhu Kuppuswami Memorial College Year 13 student Divesh Kumar said: “University of Fiji has good resources and friendly staff, and this university has a lot of opportunities for students who study at this university.”
