Labasa is likely to host the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants semi-finals and final at Subrail Park, Labasa.

Fiji Football Association acting president Tarunesh Reddy said this would depend entirely on the performance of the Babasiga Lions in the next two days.

Reddy said the venue will be decided on Monday.

“It’s entirely up to Labasa and the Babasiga Lions to make it work,” Reddy said.

Lunch Box Labasa started their campaign on a winning note defeating Suva 1-0 at Subrail Park last night.

Labasa striker Jonetani Buksh scored in the 50th minute after a scoreless first half.

Suva was without players Waisake Navunigasau and Sakarai Naisua who were suspended by the Suva Football Association.

Suva’s Setareki Hughes played a vital role for the capital side as he attempted to find the equaliser.

Former Suva and now Labasa Coach Gurjit Singh was pleased with Labasa’s performance butt they need to work more on scoring goals.

Suva coach Shivam Nathan said the team need more effort to win their next game.

Suva face Nadi today at 2pm while Lunch Box Labasa will play Rakiraki at 4pm.
