“To me this is the fastest growing radio station in the country,” Mix-FM Family Open Day co-ordinator Michael Faga

The MixFM radio station yesterday celebrated their 10th anniversary going public and opening their base in Lautoka with a Family Open Day.

Coordinator of MixFM-Family Open Day Michael Faga said: “This is our first open day, as a team we felt that it’s about time for us to go out to the public and for the public to get to know us.

“MixFM first started in 2007 but, we had our licence in 2006.

“This year we celebrated our 10th anniversary. To me this is the fastest growing radio station in the country.

“When I look back, we have achieved much in a shorter period compared to other radio stations.”

People came in numbers to be part of MixFM-Family Open Day which is located at 11 Nasoki Street in Lautoka.

Host of AM Kick show Mr Faga said the anniversary celebration was on live stream for their audience.

“Today’s open day we believe is something for us to get to know our listeners because they are the people who make this radio station,” he said.

“This is the only radio station in the Western Division and for me this radio station is also the pride for the Western Division.”

The MixFM, with the slogan Fiji’s Best Mix has seven radio announcers.
