Naitasiri and Vodafone Flying Fijians halfback Frank Lomani admits they need to need to be spot on in the first round of the HFC Bank Farebrother Sullivan Challenge against BLK Nadroga on Saturday.

Defending champions BLK Nadroga will host the Highlanders at Lawaqa Park at 3pm.

Lomani believes their finishing was the area that costs them during the Skipper Cup semifinal against Namosi.

“We need to be spot on in the execution of the game plan and utilising our opportunities well.  We allowed Namosi to fightback in the second half.

“We need to strengthen our finishing and avoid losing possessions.”

The Nukubalavu, Savusavu native will play for his first Farebrother challenge this Saturday and anticipates an exciting battle.

“It’s another tough challenge and I’m looking forward to it, my first Farebrother against defending champions Nadroga.

“It will be a hard game but for us we just need to stick and trust our structure. I need to provide a good link for the forwards and backline,” Lomani added.

Lomani made his debut for the Vodafone Flying Fijians side against Manu Samoa last Saturday in the final round of the Pacific Nations Cup where they won 38-16.

He replaced Henry Seniloli in the last 10 minutes and it was a special moment for him.

“It was good experience for me, I learnt a lot playing at international level but there are some work -ons I need to do to better and one of it is my passing skills.

“I never expected to play in the last 10 minutes because Henry was playing well.

“It was a good experience for me learning from the senior players.”
