After winning the Vodafone Fijian FACT last month, Rewa aim to score a double in the 2017 INKK Battle of Giants tournament.

The ‘Delta Tigers’ face Labasa in the first semifinal clash at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on Friday at 7:30pm.

The second semifinal between Lautoka and Nadi will be played on Saturday at Churchill Park, Lautoka  at 3pm with the final at the same venue 2.30pm on Sunday.

Coach Marika Rodu said with the short time for training, the side will need to step up.

“Our trip back from Labasa after the B.O.G was a hectic one as the boys had to travel by boat.

“We didn’t have much time to work on our mistakes from our previous game since we missed out on our training on Monday,” Rodu said.

“We only have three sessions together before the semifinal on Friday and we need to utilise it well.”

Rodu said they need to improve in their midfield.

“Labasa is a good attacking team and we need to tidy up our midfield,” he said.

“There could be changes in our strategy because Labasa plays a different style of football.

“I am looking at the team to work together and give me the result expected of them.”
