Deepen Ties, President Konrote urges  Commonwealth Heads of Valuation

The various Commonwealth Heads of Land Valuation Agencies were yesterday challenged to work together and deepen their ties to be ahead the rest of the world.

The challenge came from President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote who opened the 18th Commonwealth Heads of Valuation Agencies Conference at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa in Denarau, yesterday.

He said: “We need to deepen those ties and effectively asses the merit of various policies programmes and frameworks of potential economic, social and environmental impacts ultimately to achieve sustainable and resilient developments.

“We need share commitment from Commonwealth nations to map a clear way forward to set high standard to evaluations.

“As heads of evaluation agencies you play a pivotal role in driving economic growth of the Commonwealth.

“We are seeing a growing demand for professional expertise in valuation.

“You are all here to improve your profession and adapt to the challenges and opportunities in the modern market. Work to redefine the role of valuation in the modern economy.” Waisea Nasokia
