Aspiring fashion designer Luisa Tamini knew what she was going to do at the Fiji National University Open day on Friday.

Luisa, 19, who was part of the group of students from Ballantine Memorial School that showed up at the Nasinu campus on the second day, had fashion designing on her mind.

Luisa said she chose fashion designing because FNU offers courses according to our expectations.

“I liked the fashion designing course at FNU because they have more varieties of programmes in that field,” Luisa said.

“I want to learn about fashion designing and why I came to FNU was because I knew FNU offered what I expect to be part of the course,” she said.

“Now that I know, I will work hard to get the marks to get into FNU.”

Keleni Volivolirogo, 18, said the open day was very educational and informative.

“The open day is very helpful for us to know what options are available for us to look out for in the future,” Keleni said.

“Our career is very important and it is also important for us to know what career options are available for us to pursue,” she said.

“It is not easy to pick one because FNU offers very good programmes which are very hard to choose from.”
