Permanent Secretary for Education, Heritage and Arts Iowane Tiko advised the 455 graduates from three campuses of Technical College of Fiji (TCF) yesterday that this graduation be not their last.

During the graduation at Vanua Levu Arya Campus in Labasa, Mr Tiko encouraged the students to take up more courses or upgrade their education in future.

He told the crowd gathered that he noted that it was a significant number of skilled people entering the job market, armed with the knowledge and the will to contribute to developing the country.

“Fiji needs the skills that the graduating students posses,” Mr Tiko said.

“We need the best trades people, technicians and professionals,” he said.

The Government on its part is fully committed to providing the necessary resources and support to the TCF.

“Fiji needs to keep its pace with technological improvements taking place around the world.
