Timaima Bose, who graduated with a national Certificate in Baking and Patisserie Level Two on Friday last week, accredited her success to her husband. She graduated from the Technical College of Fiji at Vanua Levu Arya Campus in Labasa.

The 25-year-old, originally from Lautoka, but residing in Labasa, said since her marriage last year, her husband, Saiasi Bose had been encouraging her to study so that she could start her dream business.

“I want to set up a coffee shop business in Labasa Town where I can sell my homemade patisserie and bakery products,” Mrs Bose said.

“I am very much excited to start my own business after I will finish Level Three and Four certificate in baking and patisserie.

“I want to thank my husband for letting me live my dream,” she said.

“I dedicate today’s achievement to my father, Lewani Raubaca, who passed away last year after long-term illness.

“He had been my inspiration and if he was present in my graduation, I would have waved this certificate in front of his face many times as he always wished to see me in my graduation gown.

“I would like to also thank my college tutors and the Ministry of Education for their support and providing opportunities for women like me to live our dream.”
