For Nasavusavu High School, working to be part of the Film Fiji and Fijian Made Film Awards paid off.

Their film titled “Gone Sisi Life” won Best Original Score.

The film had a reggae tune throughout the film which was focused on being yourself and believing in yourself.

Student director, Samuel Wiek said they were just having fun while making the film set at the beautiful Hidden Paradise.

“Coming all the way from Savusavu and winning an award feels so awesome especially after seven years,” Samuel said.

The film sees the main character, who is being pressured by his peers, later on come to a self-realisation that he has to work hard in school to make something of his life.

Samuel said they would come out bigger and better at the awards come next year.
