The Fiji Women Lawyers Association will organise a climbathon this month for the late, Laisa Lagilevu-Vodo.

The groundbreaking Suva lawyer passed away last week and her loss has come as a shock for the association.

Association president, Radhika Naidu had known Ms Lagilevu-Vodo the last 17 years since they were together in law school.

“So we as FWLA are very saddened at this loss. The FWLA is organising a climbathon in aid of women battling cancer together with Fiji Cancer Society on the 19th of this month.

“FWLA members will dedicate the climb to our sister, Laisa, she will be badly missed.

“May her soul rest in peace and Apenisa and the children are always in our prayers,” she said.

Ms Naidu described Ms Lagilevu-Vodo as humble and a fashionista.

She died after battling cancer. She is survived by her three children and husband Apenisa Vodo.

She will be laid to rest on Thursday.
