When suppliers gain British Retail Consortium (BRC) A+ Rated Certification, it assures the customer that they are dealing with a company that reaches high levels of competence in critical areas.

This was the comment made by managing director for Punjas and Sons Limited Nitin Punja at the announcement of Punjas Biscuits Limited obtaining British Retail Consortium (BRC) A+ rated certification.

The company is one of the few biscuit manufacturers in the Asia Pacific Region to have been awarded the prestigious BRC A+ accreditation after commencing operations in December 2014 at Lautoka.

Mr Punja said that he was proud of the company’s achievements.

“Obtaining BRC A+ rated certification is an exemplary achievement in such a short space of time since we opened our doors a few years ago,” Mr Punja said.

He added: “We had to hire the best consultants in their field to ensure our product offering met our standards and to ensure on going loyalty in the market.”

Mr Punja said the achievement was a milestone for the company to reach this level of growth in the Southern Hemisphere.

He also said the certification has a lot of benefits.

“The BRC standard meets the strong need to preserve the integrity of branded products,” he added.

“The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety is a single verification that ensures both the fulfilment of legal obligations and of customer protection.”

He thanked all their employees who worked hard in obtaining this certification.
