After losing out the Vodafone Vanua Challenge title to Navosa, the Rewa rugby side anticipates a tough battle against Namosi in the HFC Bank Farebrother Challenge at Thomson Park, Navua tomorrow at 3pm.

Coach Ro Alifereti Doviverata said they will be missing out on three players injured in their HFC Bank Bainimarama Shield Challenge against Navosa last week.

“Our preparations are coming out well despite three of our players not be playing because they have not recovered on time,” Ro Dovi said.

“Nemani Sarasau, Waisea Rogoyawa and Timoci Lukicanavanua will miss out and we are fortunate to have capable replacements.

“In terms of our training, the boys are responding well.

“We’ve set out our mission and values we would like to achieve in our campaign.

“We are working on our scrums, lineouts as these were the crucial areas we failed on in our last game.

“We would like urge our fans to please come out in numbers to support the team. We know Namosi will be favourite playing in their home ground. Our supporters’ presence will be a source of encouragement for the side.”

Meanwhile, Rewa’s fullback Malakia Raoma has secured a rugby contract with the Mont De Marsan rugby club in France and is expected to leave the country after the game on Saturday.
