Sheral Chand sponsored by Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) is confident to retain the Miss Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North charity crown.

FSC has been winning the Miss Charity crown for eight years in a row.

The 22-year-old lass of Delailabasa, Macuata Province, are among the 12 queen contestants who will be participating in the weeklong festival at Subrail Park in Labasa from August 19 to 26.

She is the eldest of two siblings. The Labasa Hospital nurse is advocating on sustainable production.

“It is an honour to represent FSC as they are the largest employer in Vanua Levu,” Miss Chand said.

“With that honour comes the responsibility to retain the charity crown,” she said.

Ms Chand’s decision to advocate on sustainable production is primarily because FSC has boosted the Northern Division economy over the years through sustainable development projects.
