$20K For Schools Netball
ANASILINI RATUVA, Suva Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji is contributing $20,000 for the Powerade Super Series Netball Championship which starts at Subrail Park on Monday. Marketing manager Lawrence Tikaram said they believe in the development of sports in the rural areas. “We are committed in providing uniforms for the officials, trophies and balls and we know it’s also an important programme getting students to engage in a healthy lifestyle. “We believe the Powerade Super Series Netball Championships will develop in years to come to be a major com-petition,” Tikaram said. Fijian Secondary Schools Netball Association president Unaisi Vuetaki acknowledges Coca-Cola for the kind ges-ture. “We would like to thank Coca-Cola for this sponsorship which has come at a right time,”Vuetaki said. “This is the development for schools in the North which is important for us and we thank Coca-Cola for assisting us in this development.” Meanwhile, a total of 36 schools will compete in the U15 grade, 34 schools in the U17 and U19 grades, 12 teams in the Open grade and 10 men’s team for the men’s division.
