2 Franchise Trips For August For MV Uluinabukelevu

The Valesasa Transport Company Limited’s vessel the MV Uluinabukelevu has been given two franchise trips for the month of August.

Chief executive officer (CEO) Ilaitia Caginavanua said these two franchise trips were for Kadavu routes.

He said the first franchise trip went on August 08 to Dravuni, Naqara, Bulia, Matasawalevu, Nukuvou, Vacalea, Lavindi, Kadavu Koro, Soso, Dravuwalu, Muani, Levuka and Daviqele.

During this trip the MV Uluinabukelevu brought in delegates for the 2017 Methodist Church Conference (Bose Ko Viti), teams to compete at the Rewa Galaxy Kaji Rugby with families and coaches and teachers spending their two weeks holidays in  Suva.

On this trip they brought bails of grog roots (waka) and sacks of lewena to be sold in Suva

Its next normal trip to these islands will be on August 21 and will be back to Suva on August24.

Mr Caginavanua said they were expecting to load building materials, village shop supplies, groceries, fuel, gas cylinders, grocery supplies for families in the village in this trip.

He said the MV Uluinabukelevu also went on a normal trip to Gau villages – Lovu, Nukuloa, Nawaikama, Sawieke and Qarani on August 11 and was back in Suva on August 13.

On this trip he said they loaded building materials, shop supplies, groceries, fuel, gas cylinders, grocery supplies bought by families in Suva for those at the village.

When asked about the competition he said there were other vessels serving the same route but they were able to serve those who needed them.
