Fijian wonder boy star striker Roy Krishna will lead the Vodafone Fijian football side on their tour to Indonesia.

Veteran goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau together with defenders Amani Makoe and Remeuru Takiata have been named as the team’s vice-captain.

Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel announced the names last Saturday in Ba.

He said they named the three senior players as vice captains to maintain discipline.

Tamanisau thanked Fiji FA for having faith in the players.

“I think the boys will do their best and we’ll try to put Fiji FA where it is supposed to be,” Tamanisau added.

Meanwhile, Vodafone Fijian natioanl coach Christophe Gamel included seven new players in the 22-member national team for their international friendly match against Indonesia in Jakarta.

New Zealand-based striker Shravan Sharma is leading the pack of the new names that have been selected after one week of intense training and fitness drills at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba.

Rewa’s Tevita Waranaivalu, Misaele Draunibaka, Ba duo Josefata Neibuli and Narendra Rao, Suva defender Epeli Leiroti and Labasa’s Jonetani Buksh are the other players that have made the final cut.

The Vodafone Fijian national team will play against the Indonesian national team in an international friendly on Saturday in Jakarta.
