Reigning Miss Pacific Islands Anne Christine Dunn is excited about exploring her legal career.

Ms Dunn was among 27 law graduates from the University of the South Pacific who were admitted to the bar yesterday at the High Court in Suva.

After the ceremony, Ms Dunn said: “It is very surreal because I do not think it has hit me yet.

“I’m very excited to explore the legal career. It is pretty well rounded. USP provides for you very well and so it was a good experience.”

For her success, she paid tribute to her mother and God.

“I was talking to her this morning and she is super excited and very blessed. So I’m grateful to have kind of put her at ease with that. She is my mum and she is the backbone of all my success and I’m very grateful for that,” she said.

“My dad passed away earlier this year and it is a very humbling process to continue to carry his name in the legal fraternity. I thank God first and foremost.”

Ms Dunn hopes to re-join the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Suva.
