Two minivan drivers who were given a run around for applications made for Rural Service License (RSL) yesterday had their complaint attended to by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.

The two- Jainesh Kumar and Pritesh Chand arrived early morning to the Parliamentary complex and waited to meet with Mr Bainimarama after Parliament was officially opened by President Jioji Konrote.

The two approached Mr Bainimarama in a marquee set up for tea where they showed him all documents relating to their application.

Mr Bainimarama then spoke with Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho who sits on the Land Transport Authority Board and discussed the matter with him. Mr Qiliho, who was at Parliament for the opening, spoke with the two drivers and attended to their pending application.

Speaking to Fiji Sun after their issue was successfully dealt with, the duo said they knew reaching out to the Prime Minister will not go in vain.

“That is why we came down from Nadi. We knew that he will be able to sort out any issue we have. He is the best Prime Minister, the country has ever had and this is what we want in a leader,” Mr Kumar said.

“Anyone can come up and speak to him knowing he will help people in need,” Mr Chand said.

The two returned to Nadi after their meeting with Mr Bainimarama.
