Fijian Pearls centre Vaiti Waqatabu will lead the side against South Africa in the Digicel/Punjas netball test series.

Fiji play South Africa at 6:30pm tomorrow and on Friday at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

The Fiji Corrections Services warden is aware of the huge responsibility.

“We are expecting more of physical affair,”Waqatabu said.

“It is indeed a great honour and privilege to be leading the side for the second time.

“We are fortunate to have four Baby Pearls in the side and this is a good build up for the Commonwealth Games in April.

“We are up against the 5th ranked team in the world who just took part in the Quad Series in New Zealand.”

South Africa showed they were not just making up numbers in the Quad Series with a 54-51 victory over England in Invercargill on Sunday.

The result in the last round of this year’s competition is South Africa’s first Quad Series win and 13th victory over England, and comes on the back of two narrow defeats against New Zealand and Australia.

Fiji is ranked 7th in the International Netball Federation world ranking.
