The Vodafone Fijian team has failed to secure a spot in the World U20 Championship.

This was after the Koli Sewabu –coached side lost to Portugal 13-16 in their final pool match of World Rugby U20 Trophy in Montevideo yesterday.

The Koli Sewabu-coached side trailed 13-0 at halftime and only managed to secure 13 points in the second half through a try by Filimoni Savou converted by Jamie Kotz who also kicked two penalties.

The Fijians beat Hong Kong in their first game 26-7 match but lost 3-34 to Uruguay in the second game. And yesterday was a must win for the Fijians but failed to beat the gutsy Portugal side.
