Australia-based boxer King Davidson Emenogu will face Fiji’s super middleweight champion Abhay Chand on October 13.

They will feature in the main bout of the Canada Fiji Southern Boxing Promotion at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

The Nigerian born also known as the ‘Hand of God’ has an impressive record with 18 wins (12 KO) and lost three since his debut in 2007.

“Boxing is something I love and I’m looking forward to come to Fiji for the first time,” he said.

“It will be a good fight, amazing fight and night to remember.”

The 32-year old does not worry about his opponent Abhay Chand, 38.

“I don’t know much about him, I don’t worry about him, I’ll let him worry about me. My Dad always tells me to always let my opponent worry about me,” Emenogu said.

“When it comes to boxing you give everyone equal respect. It’s not easy to train and prepare for a fight.  I would like to thank the promoter for giving me the opportunity to fight in Fiji.”

Emenogu beat Joseph Kwadjo in 2015 and the late Zulfikar Joy Ali in 2010 for the vacant PABA Super welterweight title in Australia.
