Land Transport Authority will soon be launching a new App.

This is to ensure that LTA provides improved the best and most efficient Customer Services.

This was revealed by chief executive officer, Carmine Piantedosi at the Fiji Road Haulage Association (RHA)  15th Annual General Meeting at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa in Nadi yesterday.

Mr Piantedosi said, they will be taking the EServices to another level through the introduction of online payments and availability of application forms that are currently only being offered at the main offices.

“Plans are already in place. We just need to get the right technology. Most people have mobile phones.

“What we are trying to do is to put our app on mobile phones to allow people to have access more easily to our services which is the next step,” he said.

“We think about the number of interactions that LTA has with the public, through all our services, whether telephone, email or face to face customer, and we are trying to minimise the time and improve the experience with the customers.”

Time of motion study

He added LTA’ has put in place a Time of Motion Study to help in the initiative to improve their services not just in where they issue permits and licences but also during registration for LTA.

“It is growing and developing. The system and hardware are in place, we are reviewing our processes and our systems how we carry out our functions to trying and provide efficient service so that customer can see a more efficient service.

“A bit of quick of response in enquiries and applications,” he said.
