Fulton Hogan Hiways Tabadamu beat First Landing 12-7 in the final of the Fiji Bitter Disavu 7s at the Naitasiri Provincial Secondary School in Naluwai yesterday.

The side received $4000 while the runner up got $1000.

Coach Uluasi Bolalailai was overwhelmed with the effort and thanked their sponsor Fulton Hogan Hiways for the support.

“It was not an easy game for us as we just had two weeks to prepare,”Bolalailai said.

“The inclusion of experienced players like Nasoni Roko, Jone Vota and Luke Lutunavanua boosted the performance the players.

“Our next tournament is the West Coast 7s in Brisbane.”

Pink Roses defeated Marist Seahawks 19-12 in women’s final.

 

Results:

Bowl Quarterfinals: Naqau Baabaas 12-14 Botenaulu, Disavu Two 10-12 Nawaqavesi, Aqape 7-5 Wailevu, Buinivai 10-12 Samurai.

Bowl semifinals: Botenaulu 12- 15 Nawaqavesi,  Aqape 12-17 Samurai.

Bowl Final: Nawaqavesi 17-28 Samurai.

Plate quarterfinals: Taulevu 5-19 Cagivou, Seniboro 19-12 Lomavata, Provider 14-19 Saunaka, Marine Senikau 12-26 Disavu One.

Plate semifinal: Seniboro 14-7 Sawaka, Cagivou 0-12 Disavu One.

Plate Final: Seniboro 14-24 Disavu One.

Cup quarterfinal: Tabadamu 17-7 Newborn; Uluinakau 10-21 Waimanu, Wardens 12-22 Police, First Landing 14-5 Eagle Warrior

Cup semifinal: Tabadamu 17-12 Waimanu; Police 5-10 First Landing.

Cup Final: Tabadamu 12-7 First Landing.
