The Sanjeev Kumar-captained AAAK Rental Blues FC took out the KKs Hardware Nadi FA Local League super premier title at Prince Charles Park in Nadi on Sunday.

The side defeated New Way Electrical DCA 9-8 in the penalty shootout with William Valentine final kick beat stand in goalkeeper Peniasi Saukuru.

The teams were scoreless at fulltime.

This was AAAK Rental Blues FC first win. The team included district reps William Valentine, Josefata Dugucagi and Samuela Tamanisau.

New Way Electrical DCA banked on Nadi Youth rep Jone Ralulu and former Nadi rep Peniasi Saukuru.

DCA and Bluez FC will both represent Nadi at the Vodafone National Club Championships.

Coach Pranesh Amarsee was happy with their first victory.

“It’s was a tough match, we played a tough semi-final and we knew it was not going to be easy,” Amarsee said.

“The key factor was our hard work and determination from all the players.”

In the semi-final, DCA caused the major upset Ranjesh & Company Kings FC 3-1 and AAA Rental Blues FC defeated Namaka FC 6-5 in penalty kicks.

In the premier division final Nadi Andra defeated defending champions Gandhi Lions 4-3 in a penalty shootout.

In the semifinal M Iqbal Investment Ghandi Lions Two beat Dominion Transport Nadi FC 2-1 and Best Promotion Nadi Andra defeated Lukia FC 6-5 in penalty kicks.
