Four drivers who were involved in separate incidents this month are yet to be questioned by Police.

This was confirmed by Police spokesperson in Labasa Inspector Jokatama Qio yesterday.

“A 38-year-old farmer of Kilikoso, Labasa carrying two passengers whilst returning from Biaugunu, Saqani lost control and veered off the road along Labasa-Dogotuki Road on September 9,” Inspector Qio said.

“He was later airlifted to CWM Hospital and has remained admitted since then.

“Once he is discharged then we can question him.”

“The second accident happened along Soasoa stretch in Labasa,” he said.

“A 48-year-old labourer of Valebasoga Tropic Board whilst heading to Labasa allegedly lost control and bumped a vehicle driven by a 42-year-old school teacher of Seaqaqa who was travelling with two female passengers aged 36 and 39.”

The four were rushed to Labasa Hospital as they received injuries, and were treated and sent home.

No charge has been laid yet as investigations continue.

Meanwhile, Inspector Qio said in a recent accident on Wednesday at Coqeloa, Labasa, no one sustained injuries.

“An accident involving a truck and a vehicle was a minor case,” he said.

“The drivers are yet to be questioned as investigation continues.”
