A man was apprehended yesterday afternoon while allegedly trying to impersonate a Fiji Revenue and Customs Service officer.

“The impersonator had called Fiji Minimart this (yesterday) afternoon and told the company that they were going to be audited by Revenue & Customs,” Fiji Revenue and Customs Service chief executive officer, Visvanath Das said.

“The impersonator further advised the staff that the audit can be cancelled if they pay him cash,” Mr Das said.

Mr Das said the alleged impersonator was from Namadi Heights. Should you suspect an impersonator you can call 992 2275 or the office of the chief executive officer on 990 7740.
