The Mosese Voka-captained Fiji Airways Drua side will need to start anew against the NSW Country Eagles at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka today.

Coach Senirusi Seruvakula said they have to keep the momentum after scoring their first win against Melbourne Rising last week.

“It’s going to be a tough battle upfront and our boys will have to work hard,”Seruvakula said.

“We need to maintain, control possessions at all times.

“We just have to play to another level as compared to last week, up the pace and take the opportunity as they come. We want to entertain the crowd, keep our game pattern, throw the play around and make them run.

“I’m pleading to the fans to turn up, it’s the first time for us to host a National Rugby Championship match in Fiji. We need to support our local boys who will be battling out with Super Rugby players.”

Versatile flanker Mosese Voka who will captain the side for the first time said, “It is our first game in Fiji and we have prepared well. Since we are playing on home soil we would like supporters to come in numbers to cheer us on.

“We are determined that we will have a good result tomorrow.

“Whatever the coach has taught us we will display, advising everyone to come and witness it for themselves.”

Injured skipper John Stewart wished the players that will be donning the jumper to play their hearts out.

“It’s terrible that I am not part of the team, but there is a lot of reliable replacements in the team and experienced campaigners especially Pisa (Apisalome Waqatabu) coming back into the team,” he said.

“I am pretty confident that the boys will do their job and what they are told by the coach,” Stewart added after watching the team during their captain’s run at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka yesterday. The match kicks off at 3pm.
