Added to South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) Microfinance (Fiji) Ltd, list of achievements was the launch of its Financial booklet with key stakeholders yesterday.

SPBD in partnership with Courts and Government launched the 2017 edition of the Financial Booklet to benefit small and micro enterprise owners.

The book is one of the training materials used by SPBD for the women who want to manage their finances.

It contains tips on how to run a small business, set financial goals, savings and manage debts.

It also enables SPBD clients to record their expenses and savings on a daily basis.

Officiating at the launch was the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Mereseini Vuniwaqa.

“The move from SPBD benefits the economy by strengthening the building blocks of society through the empowerment of women.

“This is indeed a noble initiative.”

Courts Director Marketing Anil Senewiratne said the achievement is yet another milestone.

Courts continue to engage local and international trainers and providing a learning platform to help the unemployed women of rural areas.

The booklet was launched at Courts mega store in Samabula.
