Suva are likely to put together one of their strongest teams on paper for the 2017 Courts Interdistrict Championship.

The Capital City side have proved they are a tournament team after reaching the semifinal of the Vodafone Fiji FACT. They missed the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants but will be gunning for their 13th IDC title after last winning the silverware in 2014.

Suva have been preparing well under new coach Sham Lal and veteran Pita Rabo.

The return of Filipe Baravilala and Waisake Navunigasau in the squad together former Rewa and Under-20 rep Bruce Hughes have boosted the Capital City side who could do wonders together with seasonal campaigners like Setareki Hughes, Kelvin Naidu, Kaliova Tivulu, Sahil Dave, Tomasi Uculoa, Don Raj,Epeli Leiroti, Sailosi Nalaubu and national goalkeeper Tevita Koroi.

Suva Football president Ritesh Pratap and his hardworking officials have done everything to field a strong Suva side.

Suva start their campaign against Lautoka at 7.30pm next Tuesday and then face Nadi at 4pm the following day and Tavua on next Thursday at 2pm.
