Value City recognised the hard work of its staff members at their annual awards night at Defence Club in Suva last Saturday.

Managing director Veera Chute said it was important to acknowledge the high achievers in the company.

She said since the introduction of the awards night four years ago, they had seen a number of improvements in all departments throughout its 17 branches around the country.

Chief Guest, former Fijian international rugby rep Seremaia Bai, encouraged the workers to be an inspiration to others and to make a difference.

Company director Rosie Chute thanked the award winners for their loyalty, hard work, support and commitment.

“For those who do not, remember you’re a part of a winning team. Let this be an incentive for you to try and achieve better next year,” Ms Chute said.

Twenty-seven awards were handed out that evening.

The Employee of the Year award was awarded to Keshmi Lata.

She is the mobile supervisor at their Nakasi Branch.

Ms Lata was overwhelmed when her name was announced.

Top It up Nakasi team also received the Best Team of the Year award.

She thanked her team for their hard work.

The company is 27-years-old and has expanded to 17 branches around Fiji.

They also have four franchises in the region, namely in Samoa, Tonga, Kiribati and Solomon Islands.

They are also looking at franchising out to Timor Leste, Vanuatu and Cook Islands.
