Propeller Shaft-sponsored Labasa chance of qualifying for the 2017 Courts Inter-District Championship looks slim when they drew 0-0 with Dreketi yesterday.

The defending champion which had the services of former Ba goalkeeper Shaneel Naidu, Edwin Sahayan, Anish Khem, Antonio Tuivuna, Amani Makoe and veteran Taniela Waqa, failed to take their chances.

Dreketi on the other hand had Usaia Tadu, Akeimi Ralulu, Sailasa Vosaicake and Joseva Bolakivei.

Labasa coach Iosefo Vosaboto said it was unfortunate his side couldn’t score but they will regroup again and continue to work hard.

“We look forward to the final pool match. We are still hoping everything will fall in place for us.”

Dreketi technical adviser Ronil Lal said they made several attempts at the goal but failed.

“We played well, tried to maintain our shape and we had a lot of opportunities but missed a lot. We will need to work on our finishing.”
