Mahesh Syndicate opened its third store at Rups Complex, Nakasi yesterday, allowing them to cater to customers in the Nakasi-Nausori area.

According to general manager Vinay Kumar, customers had been requesting their services to return to the Nausori area.

“We are coming closer to this area because we were opened in Nausori from 1984 till 2011. We had a lot of customers there who were requesting us to open up back in Nausori,” he said.

Mr Kumar said that with a great number of parking lots at Rups Complex, it is a going to be easy for customers to come down and shop.

“We got this opportunity from Rups and so we have opened up our store here in Nakasi.

“Nakasi is much closer to Nausori so we can accommodate customers from both corridors now.”

This Mahesh Syndicate branch employs 15 staff members.

“Together with our three shops, we are catering for customers all the way from Suva-to-Nausori corridor.

“We actually specialise in baby wear and also ranges of children’s wear. We believe in quality and safety of our products,” Mr Kumar said.

Mahesh Syndicate also sells cosmetic items imported from the United States and bedding items, manufactured locally.

“This is the fifth decade that we are selling fireworks and we believe in the safety and quality of the fireworks.

“After the budget announcement, we can see improvement in the retail sector, and the business is picking up its pace,” he said.

The outlet will be open from 10am to 7pm, from Monday to Thursday and from 10am to 9pm from Friday to Sunday.

Future plans

“I want to develop the brand name and provide the products in more outlets as we go further. We plan to open outlets in the West as time goes on,” said Mr Kumar.

Mahesh Syndicate also plans to specialise more in baby products and baby items to offer variety of range for its customers.
