The first InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa Wedding Open Day is now a week away.

Director of Leisure Sales and Marketing Hudson Mitchell said it has been an exciting time for his team to be hosting their first ever Wedding Open Day at Natadola Bay.

“This event was born out of a brain storming session on how we can better serve our local guests and cater for them on their special wedding day,” he said.

“After months of planning, we’re so excited that just like our weddings, we are about to turn this dream into a reality.”

Mr Mitchell said guests can expect to have an enjoyable time on that day.

“The setting is divine and the azure colored waters of Natadola Bay will be the perfect backdrop for this event,” he said.

“Our team at the Resort have managed to gather all of our preferred suppliers together on the day and there will be mock wedding set ups, Mandips on the beach, elaborate wedding table settings in our signature restaurants, musicians playing and overall a great atmosphere as we work together to support our local brides and soon to be brides and help plan for their special day.”

The exciting part is that, the open day is free for everyone to attend.

“It’s a Wedding Open Day so that means that the public are welcome to attend and be part of this great event.”

He said that their restaurants will be open as well so guests are welcome to  eat and enjoy the ambience of the Resort. They are also working with their executive Chef and his team to provide a Grill station.

“Guests will have many options to choose from.

“We are super excited to have Fiji’s best converging on the white sandy shores of Natadola Bay,” said Mr Mitchell.

The Wedding Open Day will also have suppliers that range from clothes designers, hair and make- up artists, photographers, wedding favour specialists, chocolatiers, wedding pastry specialists and venue themeing specialists.

They have all been allocated space to set up and display.

“It should be great fun and beautiful to take in as our vendors are going all out with their displays. Each vendor will have an opportunity to meet up with interested brides and their families and talk about their products and services and how they can play a part in anyone’s big wedding day.”

n Open Day on Saturday, November 18 from 12pm till 4pm.
