The President, Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote will be the chief guest at the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Band (RFMF) Military Tattoo and Centennial Celebration at the ANZ Stadium, Suva on December 8.

This was confirmed to the Fiji Sun yesterday by committee chairman Commander (Navy) Lepani Vaniqi.

He said the committee wanted the President to be relaxed when attending the tattoo.

“To make him more relaxed, there will be no guard of honour but as soon as he arrives the RFMF Band will play the national anthem,” he said.

He said in terms of preparation, the bands and all the acts that they would be performing on the night were slowly coming together.

“Those who will be present on the day will be amazed.”

The RFMF Band Military Tattoo and Centennial Celebrations start in the day at 3pm with local bands kicking off the show on December 8 at the ANZ Stadium.

The Military Tattoo starts at 7pm where the public will be treated to a spectacular show.

Grandstand tickets are $30, temporary seating $25 and grass embankment $15. Tickets can be bought from in front of the ANZ Bank along Victoria Parade, Post Shop, MHCC and RFMF Strategic Headquarters at Berkley Crescent in Suva.
