Five members of the New Zealand Army Band will be attending the Republic of Military Forces (RFMF) Band Military Tattoo and Centennial Anniversary at the ANZ Stadium on December 8.

Chairman of the RFMF Band Military Tattoo Centennial Celebration Commander (Navy) Lepani Vaniqi said they would be arriving into the country on Monday.

He said they wanted to participate, but he would like them to be at the ANZ Stadium to watch the Tattoo.

Yesterday they had a rehearsal with all units taking part at the RFMF Drill Square at the Queen Elizabeth’s Barracks (QEB).

The Fiji Police Band and the National Youth Band were not present.

“They will be at the rehearsal at the ANZ Stadium on Monday,” he said.

Commander Vaniqi said yesterday’s rehearsal was very good.

He said with the lights and fireworks the public should expect to see a magnificent show.

“In the Military Tattoo, the lights will make it more attractive.”

Commander Vaniqi said from Monday to Wednesday next week they would be carrying out two rehearsals at the ANZ Stadium.

“The first rehearsal will be from 9am to 12pm and the second one in the night from 7pm – 9pm at the ANZ Stadium.”

He is again inviting the public to be at the stadium in numbers to witness the first ever RFMF Band Tattoo in Fiji.
