Children from Veilomani Boys in Ba, Dilkusha Girls and St Christopher’s Home were given a special treat by the Commander of Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto when he served them dinner.

He told the Fiji Sun that the RFMF knew the boys from the Veilomani Home in the West.

“We have invited them to be our special guests at the Military Tattoo today together with children from Dilkusha Girls and St Christopher,” the RFMF Commander said.

“We enjoyed serving dinner to them.”

He talked to the children when serving them dinner.

After the dinner they watched the military tattoo final rehearsal and clapped and laughed to show their appreciation when the three bands, RFMF, Fiji Police and National Youth band, marched on to the ground.

The RFMF Band Military Tattoo Centennial Celebration chairperson Commander (Navy) Lepani Vaniqi said they wanted to invest in the future of the nation and one way of doing this was giving all children a chance to be part of something special.

Proceeds from the RFMF Band Military Tattoo will be distributed to each of the home as well.

After last night’s show, he said, the RFMF Band was ready for the tattoo tonight at the ANZ Stadium.

Chief Guest for Military Tattoo will be the President, Major-General (Retired) Jioji Konrote.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will also be at the tattoo.

Meanwhile, the five soldiers from the New Zealand Defence Force Band will also take part in the tattoo.

Entertainment starts at 3:30pm. The Military Tattoo starts at 7pm.

Grandstand tickets are $30, temporary seating $25 and grass embankment $15. Tickets can be bought from in front of ANZ Bank along Victoria Parade, Post Shop Suva, MHCC and RFMF Strategic Headquarters at Berkley Crescent in Suva.
