Former New Zealand Under-17 midfielder Zane Sole joins the Lautoka football camp today.

And he is likely to be included in the Blues team that will take on Labasa in the first Pillay’s Garments Champion versus Champion match at Subrail Park on Saturday.

Lautoka Football president Abdul Kadar confirmed Sole will be attending his first training session this afternoon.

Sole is one of three international players that have been included by Lautoka in their quest to stamp their mark in the O-League to be held in New Zealand next month.

Solomon Islands prolific striker Benjamin Totori joins the Blues camp on January 13 and the third signing has not been disclosed yet by Kadar.

Sole will add strength to Lautoka’s midfield with Zibraaz Sahib and Dave Radrigai.

Kadar said they hoped to field a mixture of young and experienced players as they work towards their final squad for the O- League.

Head coach Kamal Swamy has rejoined the team after returning with his family from a holiday in New Zealand.

“It has been a hectic year for Lautoka football and Swamy needed that rest so that he is ready for the CvC and O-League.”

Swamy has completed his A-licence coaching certificate and is one of the more qualified coaches in Fiji.

Kadar has however warned his players about playing Labasa at Subrail Park.

“They are a champion side and that is why they are in the CvC so we have to be careful,” Kadar said..
