Bula vinaka fellow car enthusiasts and I welcome you all to another week with Fiji Car Club.

2018 is an eventful and exciting year for FCC as over the next 11 months FCC has pencilled eight events.

Fiji Car Club will host six Pacific Energy quarter mile drag races and two car shows this year.

The first car showcase will be held at Labasa and the second one will be held at Nadi towards the end of the year.

For the first time, Fiji Car Club will take the event to the North because sometimes we feel that the people in the North are being left out.

This year’s Pacific Energy quarter mile drag race will feature some top racing cars in the country and we will also include some new categories in the race.

Ravin Nath will be arriving before the first tournament of the year which is in March and we will expect tough competition from him and new drivers who will be competing in the race. For any other updates of the upcoming events, do visit the club’s Facebook page.

I again reiterate my statement on the membership drive.

Please be advised that all membership for 2017 has expired. Drivers who want to be members of the Fiji Car Club this year need to register as soon as possible.

The benefits of becoming a member are:

  1. Drivers will be allowed to park cars inside the race venue/premises; and
  2. Free admission to the races

Membership drive will be happening in two to three weeks’ time and requesting all members to register now and not later. Thank you, to all enthusiast drivers, drive safely.

Raizal Haniff is the President of the Fiji Car Club. This is FCC’s regular feature in our Sun Wheels to keep readers updated on the latest from the Fiji Car Club.
