Ex-school Mates Pay Tribute To Late Tawalo

The Nadi Muslim College ex-students association presented its reguregu to the family of late Pacific Flying School instructor ,Iliesa Tawalo, at their residence at Beverly Hills in Votualevu, Nadi, last night.

Association spokesperson Seremaia Visawaqa said: “His (Iliesa Tawalo’s) untimely passing has brought us all the former students of Nadi Muslim College together.

“This includes those of his seniors, his same age peers and his juniors, too.

“He is a man of his words. His nature was more like a gentle-giant.”

The late Mr Tawalo completed his Year 11 before moving to Queen Victoria School to complete his Year 12.

He and the late flying student, Merelesita Lutu, were on a regular training flight when their Cessna 172 plane crashed at Delaikoro Ridge in Macuata, last week.

Also presenting their reguregu yesterday were former students of Pacific Flying School, Queen Victoria School old boys, and relatives.

Meanwhile, the late Mr Tawalo’s casket will be flown in from Labasa Airport to the Pacific Flying School hangar at the Nadi International Airport via Nausori Airport for the last time before the cortege makes it way to his residence.

There will be a church service at the Fun World Park Hote,l in Nadi, at 10am before his burial at the Enamanu Cemetery, in Nadi.
