The Fiji Dive Fiesta 2018 sets the pace for Fiji’s annual dive calendar.

The fiesta is being held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort on Denarau and will give local dive operators a chance to partner with Tourism Fiji to attend major dive exhibitions around the world.

The expo, which officially begins today is making a comeback after three years and will feature in Tourism Fiji Activities Calendar for 2018.

The six-day event will see dive agents and media from Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and North America experience some of Fiji’s best diving sites.

This includes experiences from some of the best diving locations from the Suncoast which is from Ba to Rakiraki, the Coral Coast and Pacific Harbour to name a few.

The Fiesta is supported by Tourism Fiji, Fiji Hotels and Tourism Association (FHTA) and the Fiji Dive Committee.

Diving is one of Tourism Fiji’s niche segments and is focused on promoting the incredible dive experiences in Fiji to all its International markets.

This includes Asia where China alone has more divers being certified than any other country in the world.

“Dive is a critical market and we have incredible dive experiences here in Fiji,” Tourism Fiji chief executive officer Matthew Stoeckel said.

FHTA will be working with a selected property partner, to design and deliver a world-class workshop that will showcase industry leaders in dive safety and policy development for the market.
