Jack’s of Fiji is calling for expressions of interest from investors for a prime Suva estate it describes as “a very rare chunk” of freehold property.

The 3.5 acre Jack’s Waitui Estate, located on Queen Elizabeth Drive, Nasese is only a two-minute drive from the main city centre.

It includes a double-storey building and car park space.

A major feature of the property is the open sea view of the Nasese foreshore.

Potential investors have already shown interest with visits to the site.

According to a Jack’s newspaper advertisement, the location of the property is an ideal one for a commercial centre, hotel, apartment complex or office.

The retailer believes investors have a chance to convert the site into a landmark property in the capital city.

The Fiji Master Builders Association (FMBA) in January predicted a growth in demand for new housing over the coming years following the release of the 2017 Census.

Citing Fiji’s median age of 27.5, association secretary Vijay Naidu said the data, coupled with the increasing urban population, would fuel a push for the demand of more residential housing.
